Tarnished brass question

Bought a bunch of once fired 9mm and ran 1000 or so through my Franklin wet tumbler. Usually, I empty it right after but got busy and forgot about it till late the next day.

Now, the brass us badly tarnished and even runnining it twice more hasn't helped. Must have been sime sort of chemical tarnishing related to sitti g in the cleaner so long.

Tried Franklins cleaner as well as Dawn and Lemonshine to no avail.

Ideas? May need to just toss them in the old Lyman corn cob tumbler.

won't win any beauty contests but it'll go bang. If you have any fading black socks toss em in a bucket of black Rit Dye after doing your socks.

Typically Lemishine in warm water instantly removes tarnish. Instantly, as in, instantly instantly....

You need to empty all the brass out and rinse it and let it dry. Rinse your tumbler out. And redo your tumbling process all over again.

Tray using clean water and less or no lemishine (i never use more than 1/4 tsp) and try using some Armor All Wash and Wax from the Auto section instead of dawn It will clean and leave a nice protective layer that will resist tarnish from moisture and oxidation, while dawn will just leave your brass bare.

What was in the solution that the brass soaked in overnight-citric acid in some form?

Then the tarnishing is probably copper leaching out of the brass from too much exposure to the citric acid.

I probably used too much Lemonshine and let it sit too long. Ill try again using suggestions here. Ran some through dry tumbler and it came out nice and shiny

Just load them up and shoot 'em. I load and shoot too much to care about that "like factory shine" anymore.
