    9mm carbine conversion

I am thinking of converting my AR15 from 223/556 to 9mm. Also, id like to use Glock magazines. Has anyone done this and found a 9mm magazine insert that's reliable and reasonably priced? Also, does anything else need to be swapped out other than a complete 9mm upper assembly? Hope someone can help. Thanks

You'd be better off posting this in the rifle forum, but I have a 9mm carbine.

I don't think you can buy an insert that uses Glock magazines. The adapters I've seen are for Colt pattern 9mm magazines. I've heard that the Hahn magwell adapter is the best, but they cost about $200 and need to be adjusted to work right.

I went with a dedicated lower. I wanted a model that took Glock mags, but my LGS couldn't get one. So I got the lower that takes Colt magazines.

You're also going to either need a different buffer, a spacer, or about $2.75 in quarters.
