    seated to deep

    Ran a batch of 9mm through the progressive last night and they got seated to "1.1 col this is the lenght for 115gn "LEAD" we loaded 115 "FMJ". the book says that FMJ shoul be "1.165 c.o.l.... Any input. I can pull them but there are hundreds. Anybody know if 60 thousats jump is a deal killer?

    you should be fine i would shoot them
    if your powder charge is less than maximum

        I might send him all 200 ...All i want is the cases empty so i can try again.lol
        The charge is 4.4gn 0f w231 spec says 4.8 is the top with 4.3 to start.

                  I think the stock overall length is 1.135. If you are worried, put them in your kinetic puller and tap it until the bullet JUST is about to come out. Then reseat to correct OAL.

                    It won't matter.

                    You will probably get more leading than normal and a few FTF.

                    People shoot "short ammo all the time without knowing it. When folks have a
                    FTF most of the time the bullet gets pushed back a tad and when fired it
                    rarely gets noticed.

                    That would explain those seemingly "hotter" than normal rounds though.

                      also remeber it is at what point the bullet hits the lans so the OAL for a LRN will not be the same as the OAL for a FMJ.

                          For one of my guns, I have to seat to 1.030" to keep it from hitting the lands.

                            Wow, I definitely seat out more than 1.1".. I vote for loading them longer.
