Shooting for groups with a magnetospeed strapped on.

    Would you do it?

To be clear, we are NOT talking about accuracy, only precision. Doesn't matter WHERE the holes end up. Just shooting for a tight group anywhere.

    Would you?

What's your definition for Accuracy and Precision ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Providing your Magnetospeed is tight, you can shoot precisely, but POI will shift.

But keeping it tight will be the issue.

I use one, and if (absolute precision) is your goal I'd be suspect of it. There is almost no way to get it tight enough to completely and consistently not affect barrel harmonics. That of course is dependent on how many rounds you shoot per group, as longer strings equal more deviation. But if load development is your goal my experience is that a Magnetospeed is (consistent enough) and will not stop you from finding the optimal node.

My groups went one inch up with the magnitospeed but group size stayed the same with and without.

If you have ever shot a gun with a tuner the magnetospeed is only good for a chronograph and not groups.

Wouldn't the Magnetospeed affect the barrel Harmonics? Maybe not so obvious at 100, but you would probably see it at 300?

I use my MS V3 ONLY for what it is, a measurement of projectile speed. Once I have that, I see no need to use it for anything else and it accomplishes nothing else.

                    YMMV
