In this case I'm looking at 762x39

My buddy with an lgs has tulammo for 230otd for 1000 rounds

Oh for the commie calibers in a commie gun, it isn't an issue. AKs & SKSs are designed with pretty robust extractors. And as I'm sure you've noticed those bolt carriers move back & cases get extracted with quite a bit of force. Also the more tapered case design of x39 inherently makes extraction easier vs the straighter case of 223.

23c for Tulammo is a fair price, I'd probably pick up a few.
