Reloading shotshell

So I am thinking of reloading for my Saiga .410, any recommendations for a kit to do so? I contacted RCBS and received an email saying that they do not provide for shotshell loading?? Any kits that would allow for 12 Gauge and .410???

Generally you would have separate machines for 12 gauge and .410. MEC is the leader in shotshell reloaders. For a single stage machine for lead shot, look at the MEC Jr or Sizemaster.

With cheap promotional loads like sold at Walmart, it is hard to save any money if those loads met your needs for 12 gauge. .410 is another story. You can save substantial money reloading .410.

What volumes are you looking to reload? What are you planning to use your reloads for?

Mec grabber is a great progressive shotshell press. If you are mechanically inclined and plan on loading a loot of shells look for a used Ponsness Warren

Here is one new, maybe hard to find the same used, if you do, you will save about half. Excellent press.

The Ponsness Warren Duomatic 375 might be your ticket. It's a kind of a cross between a single stage and progressive. It's set up like a progressive with different stations, but you only do one shell at a time and manually cycle the shell from station to station. So it takes 5 pulls of the handle to complete one shell (vs one shell from each pull on a true progressive).

Why this might work for you is that the tool head holds two calibers - so a 12 gauge / .410 combo is possible.

Many of the shotshell reloads I know actually prefer to do .410 on a single stage because it can be quite finicky to get nice .410 loads.

MEC but, you need to know that sometimes static electricity will hold the powder in the drop tube. There are a few tricks to keep this from happening though.

I have Ponsness Warren Duomatic 375 and reload, 12, 20 & .410 on it. Works great but when loading .410 you have to be care full as the shot can bridge in the drop tube, unless you give it a lite tap. Been loading a lot of .410 for the grand kids.
