    A Question about Ultramax

A few years back I bought some .357 ammunition from MiWall at the SF gun show, 158 grain semi-jacketed hollow points, using Remington components. This functioned beautifully in my 686 and now my (new) Model 66.

The problem is, I haven't seen this at the MiWall counter for a while; instead they offer a 158 grain total metal jacket (TMJ) bullet that, while good, is not great.

Perusing the net, I found an outfit called Ultramax that offers (re-manufactured?) ammunition, among which is a 158 gr. SJHP bullet - that appears to be the same thing I got from MiWall.

I'm wondering two things: Is this Ultramax stuff what MiWall was selling? And two: does anyone have experience with the Ultramax ammunition? Reviews are positive, but I'd like to hear something not on the web.

Miwall is loaded in CA. I remember shooting a lot of Miwall .38 LSWC as well as .45 ACP lead ball at the range---exchanging spent brass for a "new" box of Miwall for modest price.
    It was good stuff!
The story is that Miwall was started by an accomplished target shooter who built a business of suppling his machine loaded rounds to other target shooters, LEO agencies and various ranges around the state. That's the story I heard, anyway.
I've only seen Miwall sold at gun shows these days.
