Reloading for factory 9mm glock

I've heard about this "unsupported chamber" and that one may/may-not be able to reload for Glocks with a factory barrel/chamber.

Any truth to this?

If there is an area where the brass might bulge wouldn't the resizing die take care of this? Sure brass life would be reduced with work hardened spots near the case head, but surely one could still reload the brass?

.40 s&w can be a problem with "glock bulge". I've been shooting my glock 19 gen 3 with a stock barrel for 2 years an avg of 500 rounds+ a month and have had no more than the normal amount of unusable brass when sorting reloading. I reload range pickup brass on a dillon 650, using dillon dies. My go to recipie for 9mm is 124 gr. xtreme over 4.1 gr. of N320 1.135OAL 1050 avg fps 132pf for CCP IDPA. Load away and as always use a case gauge. Set your deprime/rezising die to recommeded specifications for your press and you'll be GTG.

The famous Glock unsupported myth, pun intended.

Glock brass reloads like any other guns brass. Resize/deprime, prime, charge, seat, and crimp.

You can always load for a gun with an "unsupported chamber" if you are using brass fired from a gun with a fully enclosed chamber. I've never had any issues with 9mm shot from any firearm but, I do have problems reloading .32acp fired from a Seecamp. I can use brass fired from other guns and it works fine in the Seecamp but, once it is fired through the Seecamp, it can have a bulge that won't resize correctly. Then, the brass becomes dedicated to using in a Nagant revolver with a .32acp cylinder.

The Glock "bulge" is no myth. It does make reloading brass shot thru a Glock problematic but said brass is definetly reloadable. Most Glock shot brass is resized by standard resizing dies. To be certain I recommend getting an "undersized" die especially for .40 S&W. Be sure the die just kisses the shell plate to size down as far as possible when setting up the die.
