    Dillon XL650 Deal

I just picked up a Dillon XL650 today from Blue Steel Firearms in Suisun City for $499. I know it's not a killer deal, but when you factor in shipping from Dillon it's a savings, even with sales tax.
They have another one there in 223 for the same price. They also have a RL550 but I didn't notice how much it was.
Here's their # if anyone is interested. 707-425-1202. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Very nice. I guess this is the sign for me to get a new reloader. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks, but I have a SDB. I bought it knowing I would never get into rifles. Well since I bought the SDB we have acquired several rifles in a couple different calibers. Trying to set myself up for the ammo nonsense that begins next year.
Now I need powder, primers and projectiles. Oh yeah, and some other brass prep equipment.

$499 with a conversion kit? Wow that's $100 off with free shipping wow. I have a 650 & 1050 I picked up on eBay. You don't even want to know what I paid? Ok, $900 roughly 2 years old used 3x. But once you use a 1050 you wonder why I use my 650 It's the conversion that kills you about $50 more and you sure don't want to buy the different change overs at $350 or so I'll just pull the dies out. If you need any tricks or little hints drop me a line. I learned fast

Dillon 650 is a great progressive, I love mine.

Where the cost adds up is in the conversions, toolheads, etc...you really need separate toolheads to save time if you plan to do any amount of caliber changes.

It came with the caliber specific conversion (.223) but no dies. Man the carbide dies are really pricey.

You really need to get those bare wires in your ceiling light fixed ASAP. Any kind of spark with that powder and you can kiss that room goodbye

The Dillon carbide dies for .223 are really nice. I use them in my Dillon 450 press.

I been using the Hornady dies. The bullet guide is nice it helps line it up before being seated that means I can have a smaller bell on my cases Also use the Hornady bullet feeder die after the powder station. I just have to feed that or have couple 20rd tubes filled up for my handgun loads

Awesome thanks. As soon as I get my setup going I'm sure I'll have some questions.

Yea. It's a very fast learning curve. You will mess up and miss things and break things which sucks
