    Blazer Brass or American Eagle?

Two local places have .45ACP on sale---it's tempting but I expect both will have SPP. Still it is tempting---Blazer Brass at one place, American Eagle in a plastic ammo can at the other (Sportsmans Warehouse 300 for $90 after $20 rebate.)
Any preference for one over the other?
    This will be range ammo.

I've shot both with no issues. Go for the cheaper one.

When you pick up range brass, which one do you see the most of? I would choose the one that appears more universally.

I am not picky - I will pick up all the brass I can . Like you [ maybe ] there are at least 5 different kinds / brand names of cartridges sold at the ranges I go to .
If it means anything to you , I save the nickel plated ' brass " for hunting . For target work - should not matter .
BTW - cartridge wise , I don't buy lead one , just jacketed ones . Cleaning up a leaded up barrel is asking for rust + the cost of cleaning brushes , solvent , my time - it is just not worth it .
However, I have been buying lead molds off ebay , while I can not use lead in any of my D E's , I can in the rest of the pistols . I have enough rifle bullet to reload .

I believe both are SPP. Both work, buy the cheap one (a lot of it) and shoot away.

Just make sure you carefully seperate it out if to reload!!!!

Both are pretty much the same to me... I don't have any issues with either one.

I checked my chrono notes and the 230gr Blazer Brass shot about 70 FPS faster than 230gr American Eagle in my 1911 (845 vs 775 FPS).

The Blazer Brass being hotter is something l like, I generally go with that.

The last batch of American eagle spp 45 brass I came across had crimped primer pockets, so I would go with the blaser.

Both Blazer and American Eagle are owned by ATK. They are basically the same. American Eagle is Federal. Blazer is CCI/SPEER.

I trust Federal ammunition company. It is my favorite.

I tend to stick with one brand, when practical. Blazer usually costs less, so that's what I go with. Never had any problems.

Both are good as long as the primer size is to your liking. I no longer sort brass past thrownig out. There is brass I reload and brass I don't. Blazer and American Eagle (Federal) are both I do.

Last night the kids [ I'm 70 ] came with brass . They had picked up some steel casings . Those are tossed . I don't know if they can be reloaded or not , but I won't .
I have a pretty strong magnet bolted to a metal paint roller tray - you would be surprised how much crap it picks up from shells before they go to tumbler .
I started using magnet years ago when water in sonic started getting rust colored . [ now I use WD 40 with the pins ] I do the sonic about every 3 rd or 4 th reload [ when cases are from outdoor range - the sonic is 1st , then the tumbler . My brass is pretty - easier to say - " that's mine , your brass is dirty " . Not really a problem at indoor range - but a lot more reloaders at the out door range .
