Has anyone else have any issues reloading 5.56 2015 lc brass. I don't reload(at the moment) but I keep all my brass and my cousin who reloads says that the primers are crimped on so when he tries to reload them they get messed up. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there possibly an extra step that needs to be done?

Mil brass has crimped primers,so the brass if reloaded does need to be decrimped.Last edited by highpower790; 07-30-2016, 2:28 PM.Keep it simple! -
use a Dillon super swager. it rounds off and removes the crimp so you can insert new primers in with no problems.Comment

Also you can use a decap die to remove them or as I did get the cheap tool from lee that works fine. You use it with a hammer.
You only need to do this once. All of your mil surplus brass is crimped primers also some commercial brass made to 5.56 mil specs.
Get the Dillon Super Swager to swage the pockets. It is the best and you can use it for other mil surplus ammo also which as 30-06 and 7.62X51(308Win).A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Recommend universal decapper for removing primers.
There's a variety of way to remove the crimp after. All depends on volume.
Phillips screwdriver, deburring tool, primer pocket cutter (by hand or power), swaging die for your press, stand alone swager.Palestine is a fake country

All Lake City brass is crimped
Unique Tek has a new add on for Dillon 550 and 650 that will swage crimped primer pockets that should make running military brass on those presses as easy as on the 1050
