I have a friend who swears by the Lee shotgun slug mold. He shoots his out of a rifled barrel and he gets very good accuracy at 50 yards. We are talking inside the black at that distance.. call it less than 3".

      I use them

For me they are great. I just use a cyl bore pump, and nice group, 5 shots all touching each other, 25 yards.

Buddy uses my loads in his slug gun, and they do better than the sabot rounds he was buying for $15 a box (5 rounds).

Did you order from "Factory Sales"? Not to go on a tangent here, but if so, how long did it take to get your stuff. Been waiting a while on some stuff from them and was going to get more, but wanted to make sure I got the first stuff before giving them more money.

I like the Lee mould, but I think I like the 525gr Lyman mold better! Looks like a giant airgun pellet.

The Lyman looks cool too.The Lee however has the drive key in the base of the slug. This acts as a solid base to keep the slug in contact with the rifling even better,as well as supporting the wad.Thats the story I got,anyway....

Well, maybe next time I'll cut out the factory sales site and just go straight to Lee and pay MSRP.

Sad thing is I live in RCBS town, but they are WAY more expensive than Lee, and to get RCBS stuff, I'm better off to get it from the Internet. The local dealer charges MSRP for RCBS stuff even though they are right next door to each other.

But, I like the Lee stuff, so no big deal.

Some of their products seem to be a little too economically built(primer tool,Lee loader etc..)But I have had great success with the classic BMG press, their dies, bullet molds,as well as factory crimp dies.I use many companys products, and Lee always stands by their stuff.
