Just BTW:
Bullet makers tells us that FMJ is easier to make more consistent than plated. That why it is hard to make match bullet using plating technology. I never knew that I learned that from them and I choose to trust them because what I see correlates with what the bullet makers say.

Now, if you had to spend $24 for 100 plated bullets, they better be as good as jacketed!

yea, people are cheap bastards and I am people .

BTW, I found that pulls from commercial ammo often provide reasonable (commercial like) accuracy. Usually cost similar to plated.

In all fairness though, those precision delta bullets only cost $89/k when you order 2k at a time.

And they are jacketed not plated. I may give those a try next. Can't hurt.

As of today though, I loaded some more bullets for testing. I used less of a crimp this time, I went from .378 to .381 which I will see if that makes a difference. They are coming out of the seating die at .383 even though I don't have the seating die adjusted to put any crimp in it at all. It barely takes the bell out. I checked the bell out as well and I don't see any marks on the bullets when I remove them after seating. So nothing that would indicate that the bell is not big enough and is therefore marring the bullet when it seats in the case. The bullets I pulled were unmarred and blemish free.

I also found that I had some Hornady 124 gr JHP bullets that I got from Midway USA a while ago. So I loaded some of those also. We'll see if they make a difference from the plated bullets I've been using. I hope to fire the test loads tonight, and I'll report back when I get the results. Thanks again everyone for your help.
