I know some people have come up with different ways to save Glocked 40S&W brass. Here is what I do . . . take a Lee FCD and remove the guts and use a pusher from a Lee .401 lead bullet sizing kit to push the brass through the FCD. Very simple and easy to do.

Good idea. I came across an ugly bulge in a piece of 10mm brass picked up at the range (no idea what gun it came out of, perhaps a G20). I tossed it, but perhaps it could have been saved with your method.
What generation is your .40 Glock? I read recently that the "unsupported" issues that ruin brass are largely related to first gen Glocks.
I only have first hand experience reloading brass from 9mm and .45 glocks, but have never had a problem. I'll note I always full length size my brass.

I don't have a Glock, I have other .40S&W firearms. Glocked (bulged) brass seems to be pretty common at my range.
I was not aware there was an alternative on straight walled pistol brass.I'll note I always full length size my brass.Last edited by spencerhut; 01-19-2009, 6:16 AM.www.spencersfirearms.com

One comment, and I am no expert. Does full length resizing .40S&W brass TRULY save the brass and make it usable, or does it just make it pass the case gauges? The brass has already shown weakness in the web area, and you still want to use it? Seems risky to me for brass that isn't too expensive relative to the damage you'd do if you experienced a case failure.

Yes, normal brass from properly supported chambers. Some guns (mostly Glocks) do not have properly supported chambers. Such brass will not pass a gauge after normal resizing. It will be real obvious once you do a few.Does full length resizing .40S&W brass TRULY save the brass and make it usable, or does it just make it pass the case gauges? The brass is not weak in the web, it was simply never designed to take that sort of abuse i.e. improperly supported chambers.
When I see nasty range brass that is damaged in the web area from repeated firings in poor chambers I toss them. If it's obviously once fired (shiny, new, sealed in primers etc) I "fix them and keep on using them.www.spencersfirearms.com
