    Got a wild hair?

Just got through getting 100 cases of FC 223 ready for powder and bullet. FL resizing, Lee dies, RCBS lube/ lube pad and pressed the case mouth into the pad to get some on the inside of the neck. Then tumble to get lube off and trim before priming. On my next batch I got a wild hair about how much the case would lengthen from the resizing. I started off with 20 but the hair got wilder and measured a total of 50 cases with my Pittsburgh digital caliper. Ended up with measuring 53 because I found 3 that went negative.
As I reviewed my tally, I missed an additional negative reading.

The bottom line is that no alcohol was involved and 37 of the cases were between 0.0045 and 0.0065 inches longer.

    Wild hair served.

Precisely why I trim after re-sizing and running a 10% representative sample through a headspace gauge.

Interesting findings ... beers are deserved after taking the time to measure and record those data.
