    223 powder die

Does any one besides Lee make one ?
Lee Precision Ultimate 4-Die Set 223 Rem - over 50
    [ My nephew wants a 223 ]
I already ordered a Lee 2 die set and will order another [ probably a 3 die set but no body seems to sell one with a powder die ]
I don't know if removing seater section of die will allow powder to flow thru [ I will be using hodgdon ball powder ]
Right now I use the powder die from the 25 ACP set for my 270 . Until I get the 223 dies , I won't know if the 25 ACP will work but I think it will be to big .
It seems nobody but Lee makes rifle dies with a powder die .
25 maybe 30 years ago Lee was out of stock of 270 Rem 4 die set and while I had to screw the 25 ACP die way Down it worked and still does .
Is the 4 die Lee set my only option besides hand loading powder ?

There are other dies that will drop powder through, such as the Hornady Quick Change, but it is advertised to support .355 through .500. Doesn't look like it goes down to .22 caliber. The Lee Powder Through Die works and works well.

      Thanks , till I get a set , I won't know what might / will work .
I will check up on Hornady Quick Change and see .
I finally found a set of Lee's 4 die with missing pieces for the 25 ACP . bought it then one came up for the 30 carbine and 2 days later the 30/30 . They were about 25 each - back then you could get the 4 die set for 39 +S / H .

Dillon makes one for 223. It is only a drop thru powder die. It does not size.

Thanks , I get the magazine " the blue press " but by the weekend it grows legs - yesterday was a graduation party - bring all the magazines you have finished -
Anyway , I will have to wait for next issue .
A web search found none , but Amazon did have the Lee Precision Reloading 223 Remington Ultimate Rifle Die Set for 39+ s/h . [ but takes 3 to 7 months ]
While looking it occurred to me I might need a different plate .
          I checked , the 223 takes a 4s and the 25 ACP takes a 15s .
I hope it is not just a pipe dream of my nephew to get an AR-15 .

Why do you say that? The Lee 3 die set comes with the case holder, then all you need from there is the rifle charging die and a powder drop if you want to charge that way. Really easy to find tools.

Lee 223 Pacesetter 3-Die Set includes Full Length Sizing Die, Easy Adjust Dead Length Bullet Seating Die, Factory Crimp Die, Universal Shell Holder, Powder Dipper and Instructions/Load Data. This die set may be used to load 5.56 NATO (5.56 x 45mm) brass. You must follow load data published for the 5.56 NATO, available

Graf & Sons, the reloading authority, has a wide selection of reloading supplies, shooting supplies, ammo and more.

New for 2020, now includes Powder Measure Bottle Adapter Automatic case actuated drum powder measure. Accurately and automatically dispense powder in your favorite cartridge. Two infinitely adjustable drums included. These Quick Change drums will accurately and reliably drop charges from 1 to 80 grains of powder. Case

With those three items, you'll be loading .223 accurately and quickly. All in stock. I ordered a metric crapton of equipment from Grafs, all in one single order, and it arrived promptly, packaged perfectly, and not a thing missing or broken. Grafs is a great company to order from.

My pleasure, anything to help. I use that exact die to charge .223 and .308, it works perfectly for both. How are you going to drop powder?

I have 2 of Lee's . I probably should get another . It is getting better - I have 6 nephews and 2 nieces that come here to reload . Most of time we only do 2 calibers , so I set up before they get here . Lately the nieces have been wanting to shoot the 9 mm and 45's as opposed to the 25 and 380 .
2 nephews have been shooting my 50 AE and 44 mag . Before it was the 45 and 357 [ theirs ] Last week 4 of them showed up and found out how much work it is - changing the LEE POWDER MEASURE , plates , looking up powder charge , setting up dies . I probably have the tumbler running 6-7 hours a week . I deprime and prime by hand .
Last night Ruben jr showed up - He sat and watched game while depriming his 44 and 357 cases . He also got an open bottle of crush walnut cheap = Sport Athurory is going out of business .
If it matters to you m he prefers Lee tool for cleaning primer pocket as opposed to the RCBS .
I am watching ebay for the 4s shell plate .
