He was going on and on about how he got into reloading to beat the last ammo shortages.

Most shootings seem to be done with pistols, yet the scary black rifles are what is on top of the list of anti gun people. It seems about as logical as banning reloading, or pistol grips, flash hiders and adjustable stocks.

There is no real logic to anti gun people, other than to do what they can to ban the 2A.

I am always afraid to contribute to these types of threads since the antis that evidently have some form of Oppositional Defiant Disorder when it comes to common sense regarding firearms are trolling these threads.

I would like to know how many of these geniuses that vote in Sacramento have their Hunting Licenses. Requiring that would help; but isn't enough. I think mandatory military duty for 2 years like Israel is the only thing that will help; but it would be interesting to know how many in Sacramento even have a hunting license; ever in their lives.

Indeed, the vast majority of gunshot wounds are a result of pistols and commonly in poor black neighborhoods. The liberals don't follow their "black lives matter" mantra when it comes to gun control. When it boils down, the media and politicians really only focus on shootings that occur in middle class America, and nobody talks about the gangs/drug related shootings in bad neighborhoods.

Well, i did look at the stats, and rifles of all types account for 4% of crime committed with firearms, yet "assault rifles" are on the chopping block.

My father, a Korea and Vietnam veteran, has always stored " loaded" factory ammunition. Still does to this day. Firmly believes in having "enough" ammunition, should something happen. Total warrior mentality, especially for an aging warrior. Something to pay attention to.

They already banned lead wheel weights, so casters don't have a cheap source for lead. They also banned lead for hunting. The can make shooting cost prohibitive.

Which is where I say they won't ban reloading.. they will either tax it to the point no one can afford it or indirectly restrict is other ways.

Remember California proved it could ban a bolt action rifle. They did it by Caliber in 2004. you don't have to ban things directly to be effective. They already know this and are doing it.

As for me, I'm moving to Arizona before Christmas. I stockpiled lead over the years and am selling it and then replacing it once settled in AZ.

Once wheel weights were removed from the gene pool I knew it would be more difficult to obtain lead. Cheap insurance with a big dose of satisfaction in stocking up on it. But dense and heavy to move.

If you were to look at the crime stats, I'd bet that most of the gunshot violence has been inflicted with commercial ammo and not reloads. That's just my guess, so it doesn't seem like a logical step to take to reduce gun violence.

And how many drive by's were done with a 50 BMG yet they still managed to ban that. The most under used caliber in any crime and they still managed to label is an Assault weapon.. Logic has no place in politics,

If you go back to 1985 and look at all the action movies...then look at the roberti Roos bill you'll see ol' Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris and holly wood in general are to blame for the gun laws. then crap like Colors, Boys in the Hood, crap like that just further glamorized gang life and scared the crap of of the liberals.
