anyone reload .30 luger? I need help!!!

I cant get my bullets to seat properly. I seat them down to the proper depth, then taper crimp, yet if I tap the top of the bullet it drops down into the case! I tried seating the bullet out farther on the straightest part of the bullet, crimp, and the same happens. Even if I don't flare the case mouth the same scenario happens. In all my years of reloading I've never had this happen, I'm pretty pissed at this point. I'm very close to saying F**k it and selling my Luger, brass, and dies.
    Any help?

I'm going to assume that you are using the correct bullet. The 30 luger was originally designed to shoot a .3095" diameter bullet not the regular .308" diameter.

If so, then I would say that the case necks wasn't sized down enough.

Check that the sizing die is adjusted down enough and that the diameter of the sizing button is correct. Mic the diameter and makes sure that it's at least .002" below bullet diameter

I'm actually using a speer 100gr .308, as per the book. I know the original diameter was slightly larger but I haven't been able to locate any of the correct 93gr bullets. would the slight difference in diameter make that big a difference?

Yes it would... having tried to load 9mm cannelured bullets in 38 spl..unless you size down the case mouth to the size it needs, it'll drop right through since it is not a friction fit but is a loose fit.
