    Acquiring reloading stuff?

So my boss has this bucket of reloading stuff that is about 20 years old that he wants to part with. I'm having a hard time coming up with a fair price to pay him--if, in fact, it's stuff worth having for a truly novice reloader...
It's an RCBS RS2 press. A simple LEE bar scale. The die set for .308.
There's also about 1/4 can of poweder, about 15 primers, 40 bullets, lube pad, Lee manual, and some misc. items

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

The press is an OLD press.

I bought a bunch of stuff along this line with a much newer press (RC2 press, newer beam balance, funnel, lube pads etc) for like $50.... I think I've got a deal.... but then I would never have paid more than $100 for them...

So, I would say... $50-$100 for your "package"..... your package do have a set of .308 dies that I didn't have... so... maybe $75....

I would NOT use those powder and primers....

I was thinking $50 would be a good deal and $75 would be OK if you really want it.

+1 This is what I was thinking before I even read Fjold's post.

Even if you don't use the powder, I'd keep the can and sell it to someone who might be a collector of old powder cans. They can fetch a few bucks if they want them really bad.

so if my expectation is to s-l-o-w-l-y enter the reloading hobby, would this press be sufficient to reload my 7mm and eventually .223?
I'm okay with going slow and steady. I just don't want to tie money up in something I don't have alot of time for just yet.

            Thanks again for the feedback!

50 bucks would be fair to both of you IMO
for someone getting into reloading for the first time though you may want to look at a kit
