    Imr 7977

Anyone using this for 7 rem mag , I plan on loading up some with 140 gr ttsx projectiles. I haven't found any load data so I will contact Barnes. Has anyone had good results with this powder?

I heard back from Barnes this morning and they said to use the lead core data from hodgon and start at 66.5 gr and "probably" max at around 72 ha-ha "probably" I'm hoping to hit the sweet spot around 68-69 gr.

Loaded up some rounds last week with 7977 behind Barnes 140gr ttsx. As per Barnes I started at 66.5 and worked up. At 68 gr. The case was full, I am using prvi brass, I wasn't comfortable compressing the powder so I stopped there. 67.5 seemed like a good group so I'm going to run with that. Also primers (winchester lr Magnum) were flattened a bit but no sticky bolt. If anyone else is thinking of trying this combination in the 7 mag hopefully this will help.

        How fast were they?

I'd have to say somewhere in the 3000 fps range,i don't have a chrony yet but I just go with the most accurate load out of a ladder.
