    Moly Coating Barnes Bullets?

Has anybody tried this, what were the results. I have heard about all the potential copper fouling problems from these bullets and was thinking I could moly coat them to reduce this. Anybody have experience with this? Comments/suggestions?

The older Barnes X bullets ad a reputation for copper fouling. I haven't noticed and excessive copper with the TSX in three different guns, at least not anymore than my Nosler partitions or Hornady VMax.

How much do you shoot without cleaning? Just use a good copper solvent like Wipeout when you clean it and you have nothing to worry about.

I have probably shot 15 rounds out of my 270 WSM. Thought it might be a fun little experiment if it would be worth while, thanks.

I'm sitting on a couple hunderd moly coated 800 grain boreriders right now. I haven't shot them yet and won't until I get some VV powder. After shooting 50s for the last few years, I just take copper fouling as something that is going to happen and I clean my rifles with a solution which contains about 90% aquios ammonia. If you don't want to wear hazmat stuff to clean your rifle, Wipe-Out works pretty well too.
