Reloading .357 Magnum with Ramshot Silhouette?

    Hi all,

Trying to reload .357 Mag cases with Ramshot Silhouette.
Only data I see for this powder is for .38 Special.

I'm trying to load some bunny farts with my .357 brass (as opposed to my .38 brass, trying to minimize fouling buildup in the cylinder)

    Using Xtreme Bullets 125gr projectiles & S&B SPP's

Was just going to start with .38 special starting load data.
But I figure with the extra volume they'll be a little lower pressure, but that's ok with me, just looking for plinking round.

Anyone load .357 with Silhouette? any recommendations?

I suspect that Sillouette, since it isn't listed, is not really a good powder for 357 magnum. Sometimes, powders can be position sensitive and if you load it in a case like the 357 magnum, you can get erratic velocity/pressure. Sillouette is a good powder for things like 38 spl, 9mm, and 38 super/supercomp where air space is at a minimum.. since there is little data for in in the 357, I'd suspect that the loads they developed weren't consistent enough to publish it with good faith.
