Then use a Q-Tip to apply it inside the case mouth.

It is a tedious process but works for me.

I'm curious about those who use the spray on lube.....don't you lube the inside of the case mouth before sizing?
      If so, how?
You can also use Imperial Neck Lube, which is a graphite powder. Just dip the neck in. Since I do all my bottleneck brass prep on a single stage, it isn't a big time sink.....

Best question /advice yet. Why isn't this a part of the reloading kit?

I picked up a gauge on Saturday and ran 100 pieces of brass through it and 85 need to be trimmed and three needed to be run through the sizing die again. I don't know how I would have known that without the gauge.

Been loading since 1968 and haven't needed a case gauge yet. Set your dies correctly and cycle the press fully each time and you won't have any sizing issues. A cheap caliper from Harbor Freight will tell you if any of your brass needs to be trimmed. But as you can see 85% of your brass needed trimming so it's just faster to run all of it through the trimmer.

]I'm using Hornady case wax and no, I don't have a case gauge. Good point on seeing if the resized brass will fit into my FAL.

Archon, there is an inherent problem with the case gage that reloaders on reloading forums fail to inform potential buyers about. The case gage is used on fired and sized cases. Meaning loaded cases that fits the case gage may not fit the chamber because the diameter of the sized case is larger than the diameter of the chamber.

I use chamber gages. A chamber gage is nothing more than a gage that has been cut with the same reamer as your chamber. I also use take off barrels and I cut the chamber from a shot out barrels.

Then there is case lube, for the tuff to size and or form case I use a no name lube. For everything else it does not matter what lube I use.

I have forming dies and I have small base dies. I have not found a good use for small base dies but I have them just in case.
