    22-250 issues

    Hey All,

It's been a while but I am getting into reloading 22-250 for my Rem 700 again, and since I didn't have much luck with it last time I thought I would ask those of you that do this on a regular basis what some of your recipes might be for an accurate load. Please include as much detail as you can, I.e. Powder type, grains, case length, projectile, preferred primer brand, crimp/heavy or light or not at all, etc. Thanks guys!

It's an over bore carting so a slow powder will typically be your friend. I have had great success with H380 and a 52gr Sierra match king. The powder gets its name from its original purpose, the .22-250. 38.0 grains with a 50-55 grain bullet will do you pretty good. I seated the bullet. 010" off the lands.

Your rifle is different than mine so exact cartridge specs shouldn't followed but if you play around with h380 and a bullet in the 50-55 grain range, I imagine you'll find what you're looking for.

H380 and Hornady 50 and 55 grain Vmax. My Savage shoots them into 1 hole.
