Question on RCBS 9mm die set

I'm just getting into reloading and am gathering all the equipment. Part of my initial purchase was a set of RCBS 9mm dies, 3 die set. On the taper crimp die there are 2 seating rods, one that's flat that I assume is for hollow points and the other is cupped for round nose bullets. the flat one is marked 38/9mm TMJ, at least I think it's a J, but the round nose one is only marked 38 RN. Am I correct to assume the round nose seating rod will work on both 38 and 9mm or did RCBS make a mistake and put in the wrong round nose seating rod that I need for 9mm?

I have the same ones in my 9mm set. I use the 38 RN to load 9mm RN

38 caliber is .357 and 9mm is .355 - not enough of a difference to make 2 seperate parts.

By the way, try both seating plugs on all types of bullets & stay with the one that doesn't mark up or dent the side of the bullet. I've found that the markings on the plug don't always work best with the corresponding bullet.
