Looking for input on reloading KA 73 30-06

I have about 1000+ once fired Korean KA73 30-06 brass that I've shot with no issues. I have other brass to load, but hate to waste this if it loads ok. Looking for input/experience with this brass. Thanks!

I've reloaded plenty of KA 74 brass without any problems. I'm starting to reload my LC brass now, after using up all my KA & PS brass.

I think that brass has crimped primers, so you'll need to deprime and remove the crimp with a primer pocket swager or primer pocket crimp reamer before reloading.

Curious what prompted the question, why wouldn't it be suitable? Is there some batch of KA out there that got a bad rep?

It has worked well for me, very similar to LC, the only problem is that some flash holes are off center resulting in a few broken decapping pins.

There was some korean headstamp ammo(I don't remember what it was) that had been reported to split. I wasn't sure if it was the age, load, or brass used. Had seen posts about blowing the stocks off garands when cases ruptured.

Resurrecting this thread from the dead:

I have some KA-73 headstamp that is hard as hell to deprime. It shifted the decapping pin in my Lee universal decapping die and instead of popping out the primer, it popped it out the other way so now it's kind of a 'nipple'. WTF? How do you deprime these damn things?

If concerned about decapping just get the $5 lee punch & Base tool and use it. You will feel it enter the flashhole before you smack it with the hammer. Then I use the Dillon Super Swager on the primer pockets and ready to resize, prime etc.
