Powder in or near Monterey County

Hi, does anyone know where I can buy reloading powder and primers here in Monterey County? I'm trying to stay away from ordering them online because of the expensive hazmat and shipping prices. I think there some places in San Jose, but I'm trying to see if there is something closer.

    Thank you.

Reeds indoor range is your best bet. I live in Watsonville and I've been all of the shops in Monterrey and Santa Cruz counties. The only thing you'll find locally is some large rifle primers at Big5.

Sportsmens supply in San Jose carries powder and primers, but last time I checked the supply wasn't very good.

Bass Pro in San Jose carries reloading supplies, but they only sell 100 count boxes of primers, no bricks. The powder selection was pretty good.

I didn't see anything at Hunters supply the last time I was there. I've never been to Del Valle, how are there prices? Reeds average is about $32 a pound for powder.

Del Valle usually gets around 30-35 per pound, all they have in right now I think is long shot, it's a good shop lots of old guns, mostly consignment. The owner is a gunsmith so he's in the back alot and his dad works the front shop. Very knowledgeable people. They don't order powder too often but I think the more people who ask for it will get them to order.

Thanks guys! I will go check Del Valle one of these days, and then I will take a drive up to San Jose to stock up on all supplies.

Skip Del Valle, I went on Friday 4/1. They had 1 pound of Long Shot and no primers. Nice people there, but nothing that I needed.

I usually try to get free shipping from Cabelas and there hazmat is only $20.00
Buy enough to make it worth my while when ordering.Right now they have free shipping for two days on orders over $99.00. Easy to do.

I would be in for that. Anyone else in Monterey or Santa Cruz counties interested?
