    Alliant 2400 ?

What's up with 2400? It's been forever since I've seen it in stock. Is there another powder that's equivalent. I want to load .357 for the first time and that seems to be one of the favorites for that round.

H110 and Winchester 296 are good also, imr 4227 and bluedot will get u to magnum status.

I used H110 and W296 for .357 before I could find any 2400. I have seen 2400 recently on the shelf at bass pro in Rocklin and San Jose. With their prices it's no wonder it was sitting on the shelf but it may be an option if you don't mind paying.

It's hard to find pistol powder? Has something been going on the last few years that I'm not aware of?

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

H110/W296 are a bit slower than 2400 but require a magnum primer and doesn't really like being downloaded.

Blue Dot is a bit faster than 2400. Still a true "magnum" powder but won't yield the heavy bullet performance of H110. Unlikely any of us could tell the difference without a chrono.

Barnwood in Ripon had some 2400 and a bunch of pistol powder.

4227 seems to be one of the few mag powders I can find. H110 and 296 are focused magnum powders. 4227 and 2400 are , IMO, more flexible.
