i haven't found a direct comparison between the two with actual data. luckily this past weekend i had the opportunity to test (very unscientifically i may add) the two of them
this was a 5 shot string with a 338 norma shooting a 300 grain berger otm
shot.....magneto.....labradar.....delta
1..........2772............2785..........13
2..........2763............2783..........20
3..........2758............2782..........24
4..........2768............2785..........17
5..........2761............2784..........23
avg......2764............2784..........19
SD.......5.6................1.3
ES.......14.................3.................11
as much as i want to believe in the labradar to make myself feel awesome, im fairly confident that my reloading practices are not at the level that would produce a 3 fps extreme spread over 5 shots. so even though i have no scientific justification, i feel that the magneto speed had the correct velocities. too bad there wasn't an oehler out there too to compare all 3 at once.
now this was an very impromptu test, so and the sample size is extremely small. so take it for what its worth. im not trying to bash on the labradar as i think it is an amazing piece of equipment that can do much more than get muzzle velocity. but i figured someone would actually want to see a shot by shot comparison.
