Anyone else finish tumble?

I do, right now im using lee dies on a hornady lnl ap. And on 45 acp and 9mm they for sure work better with lube on the cases.

I tumble after only to remove light lube and coat with a protective layer. Not needed but not much of a big deal.

I don't finish tumble. I decap and size before wet tumbling w/o SS pins. I have a separate turret an tumble about 30 minutes.

Yep that's what I do. I have a toolhead for my 650 ready with a lee universal deprimer. Works great.

I don't finish tumble, but I know a few folks who do. The reason they do it is to check for primer pockets that have loosened up.

They run the ammo for about ten minutes or so in a tumbler. If the primers fall out then they know the primer pockets were too big. I tried it for the ammo I load, but it got to be a pain so I quit.

I do not. I see no reason to tumble my completed rounds.
I process my brass like so: tumble, de prime/size, trim, clean primer pockets (remove crimp when needed), wipe any lube, toss into storage to be used when needed.

I wet tumble with SS pins. Then deprime, and tumble again to clean the pockets. Reload then, tumble the finished rounds in corn cob.

How's that part working for you? (cleaning pistol primer pockets via wet tumbling).

When you buy the decapping/depriming die you may want to get a couple of extra pins/rods as spares.

The primer pockets come out very clean. The inside of the shell is very clean too.

I don't get mine as clean, but I just don't tell me firearms and they don't know.

Actually if the primer is not seated far enough, there can be a tendency to not fire as the primer will give some when the firing pin hits it. Dirty primer pockets are the biggest cause of such.

I use a uniform tool on mine after I tumble them, so make sure the primer will seat far enough. Although that take some time, I feel it's worth it to prevent any non-fires.

My darn Ocd.... An yes i clean my guns after every outing too.
