    UPS Rant

UPS delivered my Xtreme bullets order to some other address not mine!?

What is up with these folks? I purposely joined their "My UPS" delivery service so that I would be a known customer and they still got my address wrong.

I spoke to a customer service rep and he asked me if it was walking distance to pick up the package myself???

I don't get their attitude, it's too laid back for me, I asked why it was delivered to the wrong address and they couldn't tell me why, they just said " I don't know"

Has that response ever satisfied your boss when he/she has requested an answer from you?
I know it's never worked for me.

    Rant over.

    Rich,

The vendor doesn't use MyUPS to get your address, it works the opposite way. Which is to say that when you have a package coming to your address, you get a notification in MyUPS.

No matter who sends you a package, if it is coming to your MyUPS address, you will get a notification...At least that is my understanding of how it works.

During the holidays I was getting notifications when someone would send a gift through UPS.

So you expect some guy sitting in a office who has never seen your shipment to know why the delivery guy took it to a different address?

I use MYUPS to ship to the distribution center near my house. and you can add the distribution center as a ship to address also.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

Wait until they tell a neighbor or two that there is a guy on your street name and block who also gets a lot of bullets delivered
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
          (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

its the drivers error. they do it all the time and don't seem to be held accountable by UPS much. are drivers unionized like the other areas of UPS?

Yes, not only tbat, the shipping label from Xtreme had my correct name and address, the delivery tag they generate and stamp on it had a different address, that is what I asked about, the driver wasn't at fault. The UPS facility was.

If I had received your bullets by mistake, I would have walked them over to you. See it they can give you the delivery address. Maybe you should go get them back.

Maybe they transposed the address on the package, had that happen to me. Fortunately, the other house was right down the street, and they cheerfully returned it once I asked for it.

I actually much prefer UPS compared to fed ex, fed ex is terrible where I'm at. it just all boils down to individuals rather than the actual company. I have great guys at ups but you're just the opposite
