    RCBS Summit Press Tube Adapter

Some of you may have seen the PCAT primer catcher that Chris Altick makes for the RockChucker 1-2-Supreme, RCBS Turret Press, Lee LNL, Hornady, etc...

I just ordered one for my RockChucker and was asking him about the RCBS Summit press tonight. He said I must have been reading his mind, and that he was just measuring the screw spacing on his red/white/blue model.

An hour or two later he posted this video. I'm getting an RCBS Summit tomorrow evening, so will be picking one of these up.

I know the Summit is not as popular and a number of people have a negative opinion on them, but there are a few people on this forum that use them, so I thought I would post this.

Chris Altick worked out the last kinks and is shipping these now. I just ordered one.

After I had used my Summit with the stock catcher to decap about 100 rounds, I noticed that the stock catcher exhibited the same problems of spent primers not always landing in the catcher and popping out on the floor, as the RockChucker did.

I mentioned to Chris that maybe he could extend the hood up so that his catcher would have a better percentage of catches, and this is the final product.

EDIT: I forgot the price...$12.99 + shipping and the hose is 50 cents per foot. You can contact Chris Altick at chris@altick.com if you have any questions or would like to order one.

Tube adapter came in and I installed it today...

Got my tube adapter in the mail, along with some Lock-n-Load conversion bushings kits. The conversion bushing fits in the 1-1/4" threaded hole of the Summit press.

I bought 2 conversion sets with 1 conversion bushing and 3 die bushings, so I now have 3 conversion bushings and 9 die bushings which I can share between my RockChucker and Summit presses. This Summit is a nice little press, 2" ram.

      LoaderTools tube adapter installed.

Lee Universal Decapping Die and tube adapter.

308 case ready to be decapped.

He looks, he shoots, primer in the tube, he scores!

Another thumbs up from me, I own a couple of your products for several RCBS presses. Good stuff.
