    Preventing rust on your reloader

What do you guys use for rust prevention on your reloading machine? I have a Rockchucker that is starting to show some rust spots (lubed it nicely with CLP last year). I thought I lubed it enough with CLP, but apparently not. Is there any other things I should use besides CLP? Also, what parts do you oil?

I was about to go crazy and oil the hell out of my 650, but thinking about it, I don't want to mess anything up on a >$1000 "toy"

I had a jet ski that i EXCLUSIVELY used for racing/playing in salt water. 99% of the time on that ski was in salt water. Sprayed WD40 on all the motor components and flushed the ski with this stuff called salt away. When i sold it you couldnt find a SPECK of rust anywhere on the motor.

I would jsut do a light mist of WD 40 on the metal parts of the loader or where you are seeing rust develop. then wipe it down lightly.

I would say that you should lube your press more often. Once per year is not often enough.

No need to go lube crazy as that will attract more dust, just lube sparingly more often.

Wipe it down with pledge furiture polish on a rag. It it a wax base and will not gum up things. does not attact dust and dirt.

I used Blue Wonder to blue all the bare surfaces of my Redding T7 after I noticed it starting to rust, it has been over a year now and its still a very dark blue and no rust. here is a pic

I use the "use the thing" method. As long as I am handling it and using it, it doesn't rust. I keep it slightly oiled as well though.

After a session, I hit my press, dies, etc with brake cleaner then coat them with CLP. When I'm in the mood to reload I hit the dies with brake cleaner to remove the CLP.
