    s&w 500

    Anybody load Berrys 350 gr s&w500 with win 296? I was gonna start with 39gr.

    That's the starting load on hodgdons reloading info.
    Have you loaded for 500 mag before?
    What are you using to crimp those plated bullets?

      Ya I have loaded the 350 hornady xtp. I use the lee die that roll crimps.

        The plating on berrys bullets are tough to crimp. I had those bullets actually jump forward under the recoil especially with a powder like H-110/Win 296.

        I've had better luck using Longshot with plated bullets. It doesn't get the bullets going faster than 2000 FPS where you have to worry about the plating coming off.
