69 grain is highly accurate out of the 1 in 8. You might get more distance with the 77 if that's what u are wanting. -

Is the throat in the barrel compatible with the 77 and heavier pills?Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

How about, how far do you plan to shoot? Over 500 to 600 yards you might want to go with the 77gr's but if you are under 500 yards the 69grs would work fine. The 96gr's are normally cheaper. If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.Comment

You should be able to great accuracy with 69-80gr bullets.Keep it simple!Comment

I get better results from 77gr than 69r out of my 1:8 SPR. Load both and see what you like.Comment

If you want serious bang for the buck go with the Nosler Custom Competitions. The 69gr shoot extremely well and are a half the cost of Lapua. If I shot national level matches I might be able to justify the cost. But I've shot .5 MOA out to 300 yards with the Noslers out of my Savage 12FV. FWIW I've found the 69gr shoot better for me and the loads I use than the 77gr.If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.Comment

Why buy Noslers when Hornady'S are .16 apiece if bought in a 4000ct box or .18 if bought a 1k at a time and they shoot better...just my opinion after using Hornady for 8yrs.If you want serious bang for the buck go with the Nosler Custom Competitions. Hornady 75s are the best deal out there.
69s are good to 300 yards past that I use something heavier.weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?Comment
