    Shipping primers

Any one able to ship these out in the Bay Area? Shoot me a PM please. I didn't know you had to have some certification on shipping primers and I have to ship some out. Or if anyone knows how to send these out let me know. Thanks guys

Not all ups centers will ship hazmat I've run into a few that aren't hazmat certified. Not sure how that works since they are the ones involved in creating the standard for it.

You can search on UPS site and filter for locations that can handle hazardous materials.

I went to a hub here in town and was told that the shipper has to have a account through them and have some sort of certification on shipping hazmat materials. I guess you take some cheesy class.

It's more than that. It's actually very difficult to be able to ship hazmat. Some of the above responses are beyond confused - maybe they're thinking of ORM-D and similar that are regulated but not hazmat.

Don't go to the local UPS packing store go to a hub were you see the big brown trucks parked and its not a problem.
Just got a shipment of 30,000 primers a week ago and none of the package outlets could send them but at the hub it took 5 minutes and no testing.
