Well, the cheapest ammo that you will find will be Steel Cased russian ammo. Other than that, please define "Cheap" $$$.

I know Turner's is starting a sale tomorrow on .223 ammo. This is the Russian steel case ammo USN Chief was talking about. Here is the link

What are the pros and cons to this ammo? Is the Federal .223 ammo that wal-mart sells for $40 per 100 better?

        Pros about the wolf

        - cheap plinking ammo.
        - if your rifle don't shoot wolf, your rifle is broken.

        Cons

        - You got to clean your rifle a lil extra because it is dirty ammo.

You could get better ammo from Ammoman.com or other online vendor for .223 than from wall mart.

Any .223 CHEAP AMMO out there? NO, not anymore.

NO such thing anymore. Cheap .223 is Wolf Brand Ammo. Brass Cased .223 = .34-.35 per round.

Get a .22LR conversion. Then shooting is cheap. Federal Bulk .22LR $13.00 at Wally World. Also you can go to indoor ranges to shoot as well.

I want something cheaper that ,50 cents per rd...

I have looked and found some decent deals an dthey always work out to about .48-.50 cents per rd... But... I want brass only. The other stuff seems to beat your fire arm up..

But cheaper than say .50 cents per rd... maybe that is is not possible... I want to run it mostly in a mini 14. And sometimes a AR.

Palmetto state armory has some decent stuff.
I think cheap ammo is out the window though
I bought a 5.45 upper for my M4 to deal with it. Still need to feed the 20" 5.56 though.

Not much of a sale. If you are going to go for that, I'll sell you my stash of Wolf .223 at $6/box and save you the tax too

I've been shooting PMC Bronze for 37 cents a round. No complaints here.

Walmart, WWB or Remington when on sale, .40/rd.
                        Brass / reloadable.

You can pick up Federal .223 Value Packs at Walmart any day for $39.95/100, if they're in stock.

i think privi m193 is the best deal for blasting ammo right now. just under $400 per K shipped.

the privi 69/75gr match ammo is also a great buy at around $450 shipped.

there is no cheap ammo left.
