    wolf primers?

Was just checking Midways prices on primers and found Wolf to be the most reasonable. Have anyone used these and what do you think? Have been using WLP for years and have never had a issue with them.

I have heard they are very good, but good luck finding any.

Powder Valley has most of them in stock. I use them and they go bang every time I pull the trigger.

I've used a lot of the Wolf Small Rifle Magnum primers for .223 loads and they've been excellent. Widener's is another good source for Wolf primers at an excellent price but their shipping costs are higher.

They have an excellent reputation among competitors for having a low standard deviation in terms of velocity delivered. The packaging is a little cheap, and one tray I opened recently was missing a primer, but minor issues like that are nothing when you consider the price and the performance.

I just ordered 10,000 from Powder Valley and have heard nothing but good things. They are $6.00 cheaper per 5000 than Midway BTW.

I have 2k of these waiting to be tested. From what I hear they are the same as the old russian pmc primers. Many use them to lower sd, but some complain that the primer is too big. Some have an issue seating these primers, some don't. I'll be testing them out with H4350 powder in about a month or so. I'm hoping for an SD of 10 or less.

I've been running them in my service rifle in highpower for the last 3 months... I have been shooting some of my highest scores overall and especially in offhand... I did see an increase in my FPS average (50fps) and the SD went down to under 15.5 but.. in my spacegun I saw the same 50fps increase but no increase in accuracy...

Dont make the mistake I did and buy the small rifle intending to use them to make 223 remington! Only use their 'special' 223 rem primers -or the small rifle mag primers. You might get a nasty surprise if you dont do this!

I was given some large rifle primers by Wolf for some testing. My evaluation of the primers which I have tested was excellent. The test was conducted side by side with Federal match primers (210M). The average group shot with the wolf primers were same or slightly better out of my Remington 700 XCR Tactical rifle.

I was impressed with the performance of the Wolf primers.
