Do I need a special license other than my drivers license to buy ammunition online if I live in CA and the website company is out of our state?

if depends in which area in cali you live. some companies will not ship certain ammo to certain area, like LA. they must think we just want to shoot each other here!

I live in North County, SD. I order ammo from Cabelas and CheaperTD, and a few days later, it's on my front porch when I come home.

And I'm sure there are politicians out there who are thinking of ways to stop that.

Not at all. The Democrats that rule L.A. City think we will. That's why they've banned ammunition importation via mail. That's why they've required registration and fingerprinting during ammo purchases at stores in the past. That's why they've passed restrictions on purchasing ammo near New Year's Eve and 4 O'July. That's why they've just passed a new batch of rules hindering law-abiding gun owners. DEMOCRATS.
If you are in greater L.A., OUTSIDE L.A. city limits proper, you can still buy and recieve mail ordered ammunition.
