9mm Plinking Ammo- Good Price?

Just getting into 9mm and wonder what is considered a good price for plinking ammo. Probably 115g and preferably with a brass case as I'm likely going to do some reloading as I do with 45s.

I don't know how regional prices are.. but, I'm guessing the price would have to be great if purchased on-line due to shipping.

You have to weigh in the shipping charges when shopping online. I just ordered some Blazer Brass from SGAMMO.COM at just under 22 cents per round including shipping. I shopped around and that was the best I could find for new brass cased 9.

Walmart has brass cased "perfecta" brand FMJ 's for $9.96 per 50rnd box. Stuff is cheap and works great. Have shot probably 1000 rounds and no hick ups.

Thanks guys.. I just bought 100 rounds at Dick's Sporting Goods. Not as cheap as Wally World. I think I paid $29.99.. so, 0.30/round vs ~0.20/round. Better check out WM.

20 cents a round shipped is a good price. Better to buy in bulk to save on shipping.

Lately i have seen 18 cents a round shipped for steel case if you don't mind that.

Back when I was buying factory 9mm, I used freedom munitions and sgammo both with very good luck. If you want to go extra cheap, steel cased stuff won't be a problem. Considering your goal is to reload, I recommend paying a little extra for quality brass cased ammo. Then you'll have a pile of quality once fired brass for reloading

20- 22 cents a round, about $220 1000 rounds, if you reload 9 mm, around $90-120 a 1000 rounds
