    Single stage..

Any of you guys run single stage only? I love single stage reloading...

I have been tempted to make the jump to a Dillon but am pretty happy for now with 2 RCBS RockChucker supremes....I might actually add a third......

nothing fancy and doesnt cost 900$+
I dont spray and pray so I dont need to reload 1000 rds at a time.
I rather reload precise rds, lets say 100-200.

I run a single stage for my precision rounds, and a XL650 for plinking.

        Rockchucker and an old A3.
That's all I've been using for probably 40 years.

I used a RC for swaging my own bullets. Sold it and am getting a dedicated swaging press. SS are nice to have around for chores like pulling bullets, case forming, and such.

redding big boss II for sizing all rifle brass and all accuracy loads. pro2000 for pistol and rifle plinkers (.65 MOA in my FAL!)

sizing on a progessive is not conducive to trimming on my giraud

I have a Lee single stage, but now mainly use a turret. I just hate switching between the dies.

As for how much I shoot... About 100 - 200 rounds / weekend.

I have a Rockchucker and may get a Dillon for my plinking rounds, but have been saying that for a year now. Giraud trimmer is still ahead on the list.

Is that so you can setup one die in each press and move the cases through all 3 presses?
If so, you might as well just go progressive.
It will save you the extra handle pulling and inserting/removing of cases.

At the bare minimum, get a turret press.
Then you can load all the dies in the turrett and rotate the turret for each pull of the handle.
At least that saves you the inserting/removing the case between steps.

+1 on the suggestion of a turret for the bare minimum. It'll take up less tablespace and might be cheaper than buying all those individual single stages.

                            Lee single.
I reload for the accuracy, cost and the joy. Reloading is very therapeutic for me. I can sit down, put on a good war movie in my office/armory and load 50-100 rounds at a sitting until the movie is over. The next night I'll do it again. I really enjoy to process and the accomplishment I feel when I get a box loaded. I have thought about getting a progressive but there is so much to watch and check that I could not watch a movie while doing it.

This is a very unsafe practice.
