RCBS Partner Press Primer Arm Attachment

I just bought the RCBS Partner Press and I cannot figure out how to attach the primer arm to the press. Here is a picture of the parts. Can anyone help?

Looking at the press from the front, insert black pin from the right towards left. Then slide the primer seater arm with the primer seater facing up, on the left side of the front cross bar and snap in the e-clip to hold it in place.

I am a bit confused. Based on the pictuer below. Are you saying that part (2) is the pin that holds the primer arm to the press? Isnt part (2) just a large primer holder? It's threaded just like part (4)
      What's part (3)?
What are the washers (6) for?
I think I am missing the bar that holds the primer arm to the press.
      RCBS's assembly instructions are terrible!

Is part 2 able to be seperated into 2 separate peices? If so then I supose yes it must be the the other large or small primer arm.

The washers go on each side of the front cross member so as too not mar the finish. And the small peice nurled peice should have a hex on one end, it's used to thread on the primer arms. Maybe a few more pics of the peices would help.

Did u buy the press second hand? Generally the cross bar is in the box when freshly opened but sometimes can get over looked in the excitement.

I bought this brand new and sealed. I had a feeling I was missing something. I search all over my desk and floor to see if it fell out due to my excitement while opening ... cant find the crossbar.

Ok looks like this is what u need. It's a post that gets pressed into the whole and the e-clip fits on the opposite side.

Hmmm that might be a new design then. Mine has a hole that goes all the way through and the pin goes all the way with a head on the other side.

I think my crossbar broke?! My piece #3 looks exactly like right HALF of the middle bar in your photo...

Anybody know where I can buy this piece? Or the whole primer arm assembly? Thank you in advance

Call RCBS and tell them your story.

Part number 87417 Primer Arm Pin

I'd suspect they would give you one for free, but if not, I'd expect it to be less than $10.

This - it will be free and come in a day or two.

I am going the other way. Do not install it and hand prime. You are better off.

Thanks guys. A new one is on it's way, free of charge. I will eventually get a hand primer as well.
