Forgive; I formed 200 cases that that would not improve the accuracy of his bench type rifle but did reduce the difference in diameter between the neck of the chamber and outside diameter of the case neck. I suggested he purchased two forming dies and he wondered why. He seemed to thing it was only necessary for one of us to have the dies.

Please stop while your behind. And please don't associate Benchrest with this gun hack you insist upon calling a gunsmith.
Benchrest is the pinnacle of reloading and you and your hack don't know the first thing about how to make proper brass.
You not only are not helping your flagrant disregard for the truth puts you into the category of a very very dangerous reloader.
There is no such thing as a Benchrest chambering that will allow brass to grow 0.014 inches in diameter so please go back and re-check your false numbers.

My chambers match the bullet so a factory chamber with all the extra freebore will let you go even higher.
OK, this is with the factory sporter barrel, which is free-floated in a B&C stock with the aluminum bedding block. Didn't want to get that lovely, glossy wood all scratched up. For powder, I've got some milsurp WC857 and WC860. One of these should be fairly close to RE-25's burn rate. The bullet choices available to me are 208gr A-Max, 210gr Berger VLD, and 215gr Berger Hybrid VLD, since I got these on a rather steep discount last year. I like steep discounts. :-)

Yep, makes perfect sense, as does your advice above about not needing this particular die for my situation. I want the cases to remain fireformed to that particular gun's chamber.

You can buy the die now or you can buy it down the road but either way you will need it.
Most reloading dies have a small radius at the bottom of the die to prevent you from shaving your brass.
It is that radius that prevents you from sizing the area right in front of the belt.
You either have the bulge or you will be getting the bulge.

the used brass I gave you was formed in older 300 that I had, the 300 I sold you as I said was chambered in a tight secret service spec reamer and the chamber was hand polished by gunsmith, if the free brass will not resize to tight chamber throw them out what do you have to loose, then go buy some new nosler or norma shells and they should fit.if you still have problems send me a email
