    Hornady 8x56R brass

Just got a couple of boxes of Hornady 8x56R ammo from Sportsman's Guide. 205gr SP. Guess which brass they use? Looks like Yugo to me. The markings are 'ППУ' '8x56R'. I'm curious though, is there any way to tell whether it's Berdan or Boxer primed without opening the round? I wonder how reloadable it is (and I doubt I'll be using Berdan primers anytime soon, unless I open my own factory ).

That stuff should be boxer primed, that is the head stamp that is on the wolf gold and the prvi stuff. I reload those for 30-06, 8mm mauser, and 303 brit. Havent started loading for the 8x56r yet, but the others with that head stamp is boxer primed.
