I use http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/rifle if my Lyman book doesn't show the grain or the powder for my load.

I believe you can use min. 39.1 - max. 45.5 grains of 4064 per Sierra 150 grain loading info.

      I trust Sierra manual.

http://www.radomski.us/njhp/cart_tech.htm Shows some .308 gas gun loads but none with your components.

There is a ton of info out there and a couple of basic rules.
Powder burn rates between 3031 and 4064.
        No heavier projectiles than 175gr.
        As a general rule.

The limiting factor with the M-14 type rifle is the gas port pressure.

If the data your using is not specifically for a gas gun don't get anywhere near the max load.
For example the max load for a 168gr bullet using H-varget is 45gr. My M-1A load is 42.6 and is plenty hot for that rifle. And shoots extremely well.

        good luck.

The standard load for M1A service rifle highpower competition has always been 41.5gr H4895 with a 168grain SMK loaded to 2.800". If your rifle won't shoot that load to at least below 1 MOA, something is wrong with your rifle.

I shoot a 155 a max with 41 gr 4064, a very light load but accurate and reliably cycles. Somewhere in the 40-43 gr range should be just fine with the 147

H4895 and 4064 have the pressure curve that 99 out of 100 M1 Garand and M1A shooters swear by. Not swear at, but swear by.
