    Non lead projectiles

I'm looking for non lead projectiles for 308,223, and 7.62x39. Anybody know of manufacturer and type that is relatively inexpensive? I use that term lightly.

I check this regularly for "Blems" and close outs. Look under "Bullet Type" for E Tips.

^^^ That is where I get some for hunting. There is a source for .223 55 gr solid copper . copperheads approved for ca non game mammals. They are cheap at 10 bucks per hundred.

Check "rmr reloading", I don't know about inexpensive, but a good company to deal with... they have the stint fire lead free 42 gr. $68 fr 1000 and 55 gr for $95 in 223 you can check the other calibers

Subscribed, non lead bullets cost bank. Would be interested in finding good, reliable source for inexpensive and accurate rounds. I have been loading Barnes Triple's and have broken the bank.

If your using them for hunting in calif. make sure they are on the approved and tested list . A lot of lead-free is not on the list.

I bought a LOT of these a while back when they were on sale for even cheaper. Haven't had any problems with them yet, but haven't killed anythign with them either, just did some load pressure testing. I figure they'll make good blasting/bulk ammo.

I think this is the list you're looking for, if hunting is the reason you want non-lead ammo:

The Department of Fish and Wildlife manages California's diverse fish, wildlife, and plant resources, and the habitats upon which they depend, for their ecological values and for their use and enjoyment by the public.
