Did you size the brass to your chamber after measuring your chamber?

That looks like a "short stroke" type of dent. Still, having fired the round should have expanded that dent right out. Sorry, I'm at a loss.

Looks more like a dent from too much lube while sizing.

I have never seen a fired round develop a dent from the firing process....

What type of rifle? Semi Auto and rounds being thrown onto the ground???
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

is that after shooting or after sizing?
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

That dent absolutely happened "after" firing.

Hot brass ejected from a rifle is pretty maleable until it cools.

That looks to be chamber imperfections, either from a dirty chamber or a improperly reamed chamber. Think of it this way, the new or reloaded round is a bit smaller than the chamber for ease of insertion, when it is fired the brass expands to completely fill the chamber and seal it off so all of the remaining gasses burn up and propel the bullet out. This expansion will hammer any imperfections into the malable brass case. The the case will cool and shrink enough for extraction.
We'll just give them the 'ol number 6.

I bought a 09 Argentine Mauser with a 30-06 barrel. Had the same mark from being drilled to deep before it was reamed. I had it rechambered to 300 Weatherby.

Light load gas escaping past neck & shoulder before sealing.
