    Found a Reloading shop OC

I found a reloading shop in Anaheim, CA, in Orange County.

    RELOAD Orange County Reloading Supplies
    1739 Douglass rd STE E
    Anaheim, CA 92806
    (714) 767-9956 Brian Scales

I went there today just to do some pricing on some turret presses and see what else they had. The prices are good. He has all sorts of powder, bullets, supplies, etc. everything you good need. He was very knowledgeable about everything and with me, being new to the reloading scene, took his time and did not just want me to buy something and get the hell out like BPS or some of the other places that questions are off limits.

I bought my first pound of powder on line from Bullets.com and also had to pay a $20 Hazmat fee. I got some IMR today and he was not only cheaper than the online store but there was no extra BS fees.

I am not affiliated with this shop at all and have nothing to gain by advertising. Just thought you might like to know if you are into reloading in the O.C. area.

Brian is a class act. He will take the time to answer ALL of your questions, gives sensible recommendations/ideas and truly is a great American. Watch his face and body English. He LOVES to talk about reloading. If you even think you might be interested in reloading, it's worth the drive to Reload OC and meet Brian. We are luckily to have him and his shop here in north OC county.

The key to saving money buying powder online is to order 48-50lbs at a time.
You only pay 1 hazmat fee for up to 50lbs in a single order.
Divide the shipping and the hazmat fees by 48lbs and it's usually around $1.25 per pound, or $10 per 8lb jug.

Or I can go to my newly found shop and get it for cheaper, no waiting and not shipping charges.

I would rather keep this place in business than keep amazon or BPS.com open.

If you are buying 1lb containers, you will never beat the price of buying local.
Once you start buying multiple 8lb jugs, then it's time to start ordering from powder valley.

Wow - I'll have to check it out. I usually buy my components online other than powder. I have favorite loads for most of my rifles and purposes - one load for varmints in my .243 and another load for deer, for example. I buy the powder online in 8lb jugs for the most part, but a local place for bullets, etc is very good "news." (Especially since I work at 1400 Douglass Rd...)

Isn't Douglass the street the Pond is on? Aha, got it. It's behind JT Schmidt's.
I'll have to go check it out.
                      Thanks for the heads up.

He did not have any 4895 the last time I was there so I got the 4064 instead.

I would love for him to stay in business. I have put him on this site and S&W forum but do not think he does online sales.. He could use the free advertising and we all need a shop like his in the area.
