Ouch .44 mag WWB at Walmart

Worth reloading
44 is one of the calibers it is definitely worth reloading for. You can reload for about 15 cents a round if you use cast bullets. Plus you can make them hot or mild as you like, a big plus. -
Was the sales staff at least able to answer all of your questions about the product?

Typical bad walmart customer service. I had to wait at the ammo display a whole minute for a worker to ask me if I needed help. Then I asked the dude what type of gun powder was used in the rounds, he had no clue. I then asked if this was the same round dirty harry used, just shook his head. Plus these rounds are noticeably lower quality than the .44 magnum aluminum cased Blazer I would have bought at my local gun store for $45. I hate walmart.sigpicOriginally posted by victor1echoHollywood is satan!!!!Comment

and being that dirty harry was buying his ammo in the 70s chances are that is not the same roundComment

First, Tabor would be able to tell me........
Second, Dirty Harry don't be buyin his ammo fool, he rolls his own.
Officer Phil Sweet: What kind of a load do you use in that .44?
Harry Callahan: It's a light Special. This size gun it gives you better control and less recoil than a .357 Magnum with wadcutters.sigpicOriginally posted by victor1echoHollywood is satan!!!!Comment

Is this serious? You really expected such information from a walmart employee? Generally, you can expect the guy at the sporting goods counter of Walmart to know a little more about ammo than the guy who stocks shelves late at night... maybe.Typical bad walmart customer service. The problem here is not that he didnt know. The problem is that you asked him. Wlamart is just fine if you dont expect more from these folks than is reasonable. Do what I do... just assume they dont know and that the guy behind the counter moved over from the paint counter to fill in for the sporting goods guy's break

I cast my own bullets for 44mag as I don't shoot all that much.
It's costing me about $3 for the powder and primers per 50 rounds I shoot.
If I get all fancy and shoot jacketed bullets, it's still only $13 per 50 round box of 240gr JHP loads.Randall Rausch

Well that kinda blows the reason I bought some .44 mag, thought I didn't have enough brass. Just found an ammo can of miwall .44 in my garage. We were just kidding above, making fun of how fashionable it is to hate on walmart.sigpicOriginally posted by victor1echoHollywood is satan!!!!Comment
