    Feedback on non-50BMG RWS Primers

I will be getting regular sized (small rifle/large rifle) RWS primers to try out.

I was wondering if other people have experience using RWS primers in these standard sizes. I have always been impressed with the quality and consistency of RWS products.

In the small primers, how to the primer cups compare and deal with pressure in cases like a 6BR or Dasher? I use a CCI 450 for my small primer, which seems to have the best result.

Then, on the large size, has anyone tried using the RWS large primers in cases like the Lapuas or CheyTacs that call for a regular large rifle magnum primer?

I am curious to hear feedback.

RWS is a great primer but the supply has always been very spotty.
In 50 BMG you either use them or lose to them.
The same was true in the smaller calibers when they were available.
I will take 5000 of each if you can get them.

Yes Lynn, these are very hard to get. In fact, I do not think you can if you tried right now. I have only used the RWS primers in the 50 BMG type, and for me, it was quite an improvement in quality and consistency compared to the CCI #35.

I have a friend that is working on getting a lot imported from Germany. He seems pretty motivated so I think this will get done with sufficient demand. The hope is that if there is enough interest, they will be important and readily available.

With the more quantity, the more likely we will be able to do this. If anyone is interested, please PM if you are willing to commit to 5,000 or more of one type (large or small rifle). They will probably be about $0.06/each depending on how large the import. I will definitely be stocking up.
